After a tiring day a few years ago, my husband & I were babying our cat. As we petted it & called it sweet baby names, it was purring away. I turned to my husband & said, “You know, I never knew all I really wanted was a cat…”. This was after a day of rages by our soon to be diagnosed as bipolar daughter. After a day of frustration with our still undiagnosed ADHD, communication challenged son.
My husband laughed (luckily) as we recharged before another day in the trenches.
